Two-hour workshop includes
A brief discussion about tribal style belly dance
Yoga Groove warm up
Instruction and break down of movements fast and slow
DANCE DANCE DANCE! (putting it all together)
Dancing as a group and taking the lead!
Yoga Groove cool down
What you need to bring:
Yoga mat (optional)
Belly dance belt or something that jingles on your hips
Can wear yoga pants or belly dance style pants
Can wear a skirt over pants
A choli (crop top) or tight shirt…
Zills (if you know how to play them)
And your beautiful energy!
Tribal style belly dance is a fusion of folkloric movements, inspired by different countries, such as the Middle East, Spain and India…It is generally performed with a group of women dancing together in harmony.
Connie Mardon has been dancing for 10 years.. She was in the professional group Blue Stars of Tanit. They performed weddings and shows. In 2004, the group won “Belly Dancer of the Universe” tribal dance category. She loves to share what she knows about the dance and helps to create dancing groups.
