New to yoga? Curious what it's all about? Or want to brush up on the basics?
Join Amelia Chapman for Yoga 101:Alignment, Movement and Breath. In this 2 hour workshop, participants will be guided through basic yoga asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing exercises)with a focus on coordinating body, breath and mind. General studio etiquette,yoga's benefits, and
safe alignment will be discussed.
Yoga mats and other props are provided at the studio. Space is limited, please register early.
Amelia Chapman, MT-BC, CYT is a board-certified music therapist and certified yoga teacher.She is a graduate of Seaside Yoga Sanctuary's first Integral Awakening Teacher Training program. Amelia approaches asana with a strong awareness of anatomy and alignment. She often incorporates meditation and breath work within her practice and classes, and takes a creative approach to teaching. Amelia also co-facilitates SYS's monthly community drum circle with Cathy Rivera.
When she is not teaching, Amelia enjoys making music, gardening, and playing with her dogs. She strives to continue to grow and learn as a yogini,musician, and child of the universe each day.
